US plans to deport several dozen Iranians to home country

(MENAFN) The United States is preparing to deport several dozen Iranian nationals back to Iran on Sunday, according to reports. This would be the second deportation flight under a rare arrangement between Washington and Tehran, implemented amid efforts by the Trump-era administration to remove undocumented immigrants.

The flight is expected to make a stop in Kuwait before continuing to Iran, the source added.

The National Iranian American Council, a nonprofit advocacy group, condemned the plan and called on the US government to cancel the deportation.
