Provided by AGPA security official stated that an attacker attempted to ram an explosives-laden vehicle into a military installation near a local market area late on Monday. Security personnel engaged the vehicle before it could reach its intended target, causing it to detonate at a distance from the post.
The explosion caused damage to nearby buildings. One civilian was killed, and around a dozen others were injured and taken to a hospital in Wana for treatment, according to local authorities.
